The Dangers of Documenting Illegal Activities with Online Video Websites

Each day, a large number of individual make an online video. Online videos, in most cases, are displayed on online video websites.  While online videos are fun to make and share with others, there are a number of things that you should be concerned about.  One of those things is the use of illegal activities in your online videos.

As previously mentioned, online videos are most commonly hosted on online video websites. Online video websites are websites that allow internet users to view videos or make and upload their own.  In most cases, this is done free of charge. A number of popular online video websites, such as Google Video and YouTube, have restrictions in place. Those restrictions often prohibit the use of certain video material.  While a large number of video sites do have restrictions, not all do.  Even though you may be able to make a movie of whatever you want and post it, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you should.

It is becoming popular to document your “bad,” side online.  There are many individuals, especially high school students and college students, who are trying to impress others. Unfortunately, this often results in the documentation of dangerous or illegal activities.  While you may think that it is harmless to post a small video of you and your friends getting into a fight, vandalizing something, or using drugs or alcohol, there are a number of ramifications, many of which you probably never even thought about.

When documenting the use of drugs, underage drinking, vandalism, or anything else that is considered illegal, it is important to remember that you are committing a crime.  Most police departments will not scour the internet in search of online photographs or videos, but they may come across your online videos on accident. While you may not be able to be arrested, most officers are actually required to see you in the act, you may raise suspicions. If you enjoy participating in illegal activities, such as underage drinking, there is a good chance that you will continue to participate in them.  With suspicion arose, there is a good chance that you may be being watched by your local authorities.

In addition to the authorities, if you are student, whether you are a college student or a high school student, there is a good chance that you could be suspended from school. Across the country, there have been numerous reports of school officials finding online content, including videos hosted on online video websites, that document illegal activities. These activities often included underage drinking, drug use, or threats against other students.  In addition to be spoken to by your local police department, there is also the chance of school suspension or suspension for any school related activities, such as sports.

The possibility of being suspended from school and talked to by your local police department are things that could happen right away.  Despite what you may think, your online video could come back to haunt you in a couple of years.  Most online video websites will allow you to remove your video, if and when you choose to do so.  However, it is likely that a large number of individuals have already seen it.  Although they are not supposed, it is also possible that your video has been reproduced and redistributed throughout the internet.  If illegal activities were documented in your online video, there is a good chance that you could be terminated from your job, especially if your video was viewed by your employer.  Also, there are a large number of employers who use the internet to research their new applicants.  Your online video, especially if it documented the use or participation in illegal activities, could prevent you from getting that new job that you always dreamed about.

As much fun as you may think it would be to make a video of your next underage drinking party, you are advised against doing so.  Perhaps, it is best to stay cautious.  You can never tell who will be watching your video and what they will do about it.

Google Adsense: Do I Need A Pin Number For Google Adsense?

When you accumulate $50.00 in earnings, Google Adsense will send you a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to the payment address you supplied when you signed up. This is just another security precaution that Google Adsense has in place to protect their publishers but it is important.

Once you’ve been mailed a PIN number, your account payments will be on hold until the PIN is entered in your account.  You can still have access to your account and earn money; you just won’t be paid until the PIN is entered.  If it hasn’t been entered within 1 year, your account will be disabled.

To enter your PIN after you receive it in the mail, log into your Google Adsense account.  Click on the My Account tab, then click on edit.  Update the appropriate field and click submit changes.  It would also be a good time to check your contact information and make sure it is correct.  You’re now well on your way to receiving your first Google Adsense check.

Xiaomi spin-off Poco returns with the 120Hz X2 for $225

Xiaomi spin-off brand Poco has launched its second phone, the Poco X2. It’s another attempt from the company to produce a high-performance, low-cost phone for the extremely competitive Indian market.

Back in the summer of 2018, Xiaomi launched a new brand called Poco with the aim of providing flagship-level specs at the lowest possible price. The India-first Poco F1 wasn’t the prettiest phone in the world, but it turned heads by including a Snapdragon 845 for under $300 — then the brand largely went dark. Poco now markets its phones independently from Xiaomi, and the X2 is the first product since that operational change.

That said, it’s basically identical to a Xiaomi phone that was recently announced for China, the Redmi K30. Which makes sense — the excellent Redmi K20 Pro (or Mi 9T Pro in Europe) was widely viewed as a spiritual successor to the Poco F1, even though its somewhat higher price disappointed some Indian consumers. The K30 and the X2, though, don’t have bleeding-edge specs across the board.

The X2 has a Snapdragon 730G processor, a 6.67-inch 20:9 1080p LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging. The phone charges over USB-C, includes a headphone jack, and has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.

It’s the first phone in India to feature Sony’s new 64-megapixel IMX686 sensor, the successor to the 48-megapixel IMX586 that dominated the phone landscape in 2019, and that part is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro module, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s also a 20-megapixel selfie camera with a 2-megapixel depth sensor housed in a hole-punch display cutout.

Xiaomi remains the leading smartphone vendor in India, but its newest and most dangerous competitor in India of late has been Realme, which grew 255 percent year-on-year to capture fourth place in the market in 2019 (according to data from Counterpoint Research). Considering the name of the latest Poco phone, then, it’s perhaps not surprising that Poco is attempting to draw a direct comparison between its X2 and the Realme X2.

Both phones have Snapdragon 730G processors, but Poco’s X2 has a slightly bigger (albeit not OLED) screen, a slightly bigger battery, a primary camera sensor from Sony rather than Samsung, dual selfie cameras in a hole punch rather than a (higher-resolution) single unit in a notch, and 27W charging that the company claims is faster than Realme’s 30W solution.

There are pros and cons to each device, but Poco is certainly charging lower prices than Realme. The Poco X2 costs Rs. 15,999 ($225) for a model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, compared to Realme’s Rs. 16,999 ($239) 4GB/64GB entry-level model. Both companies sell a 6GB/128GB mid-range variant, but Poco’s is 2,000 rupees cheaper at Rs. 16,999. And both high-end models with 8GB of RAM cost Rs. 19,999 ($281), but Poco’s has double the storage with 256GB.

That doesn’t mean the Poco X2 is the natural successor to the F1, however, nor that it’ll necessarily tempt away Indian customers who want the best performance. Realme’s excellent X2 Pro has a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and a 90Hz display, and it starts at Rs. 27,999 ($393) — the same price as the K20 Pro from last year. So while the Poco X2 sounds like it’ll be good value for money, it doesn’t really have the same ethos as the F1, which was about cramming the best specs possible into a functional plastic shell.

The Poco X2 will be available in India on Flipkart from noon on February 11th. It’s not clear whether the phone will be released elsewhere.

After Mi Note 10, Xiaomi’s flagship series tipped to offer 108MP camera too

Xiaomi made headlines late last year when it launched the Mi Note 10, the first phone with a 108MP camera. We also saw the Mi Mix Alpha offer this ultra high resolution sensor, and new evidence suggests the Mi 10 flagship series will offer this camera too.

Back in September, XDA-Developers dug through an update to the MIUI gallery app that introduced 108MP photo support, spotting four code-names for upcoming devices. These four code-names are Tucana, Draco, Umi, and Cmi.

The outlet reported that Tucana and Draco are the Mi Note 10 Pro and Mi Mix Alpha respectively, and it’s now identified Umi and Cmi as the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro respectively.

The firm obtained build.prop files for the Umi and Cmi devices in order to confirm that they were indeed Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 10 series. These files also confirmed that they were running the Snapdragon 865 chipset.

In other words, it looks like 108MP cameras will be a major part of Xiaomi’s flagship strategy in 2020. This is a sharp contrast to Honor, with an executive previously saying that bigger pixels (rather than more pixels) are the way to go this year.

Nevertheless, we were pretty impressed with the first 108MP phone in our Mi Note 10 camera review. In fact, AA’s own Rob Triggs said it was “well above average” in low light, but still called on readers not to buy into the 108MP hype.

How to Trun On Whatsapp's New Dark Mode

Android: It’s always worth celebrating when your favorite app gets a dark mode—at least, for those of us who prefer white text on a black background than the more annoying, brighter alternative. WhatsApp is the latest app to join the gloomier fun (on Android, at least), but you’ll have to jump through a hoop or two if you want to invert your colors right now.

Facebook is currently testing dark mode for WhatsApp, which means you won’t find a toggle for it in the app’s regular settings. You’ll have to grab a beta version of WhatsApp to make the switch, which wouldn’t normally be an issue except for this fun little announcement that awaits you when you scroll to the bottom of WhatsApp’s listing on the Google Play Store:

I normally don’t recommend sideloading apps onto your device as a matter of security, but I think it’s fine to use a trusted source (APKMirror) to grab the beta version of WhatsApp that you need for dark mode (version 2.20.13). To get started, click that link on your Android’s browser and scroll down to this download section:

Tap the green link, then scroll down a bit on the subsequent screen until you see the big green “download APK” button. Tap that and download the WhatsApp .APK to your device.

From there, navigate to your Android’s Files app, tap on the .APK, ignore the scary warning, and install it.

Pull up WhatsApp, tap on the triple-dot icon in the upper-right, and tap on Settings. Tap on Chats, and you’ll see a new listing for “Theme.” Tap on that, and you’ll be able to pick whether you want WhatsApp’s look and feel to follow your device’s look and feel, or default to Light or Dark mode.

I think dark mode looks gorgeous, personally. If you’ve forgotten how to change your Android to dark mode, I can help you out—if you’re on a Pixel 3, at least. Pull up your Settings app, tap on Display, and enable “Dark theme.” If you’re on a Samsung Android, I believe you’ll be looking for “Night theme,” instead.

Xiaomi Mi Watch just got brand-new features even though you can't buy it yet

The Xiaomi Mi Watch is still only available in the company's home market of China, but the device is now better than ever thanks to a software update.

The latest upgrade for Xiaomi's Wear OS device brings a body energy feature to the smartwatch for the first time.

It's currently unclear how that feature will work, as Xiaomi hasn't shared the full details of the update, but we would expect it to be similar to Garmin's Body Battery feature that uses heart rate variability with other stats to work out your energy levels.
We imagine we'll hear more from the company - including an explanation of exactly how this feature works - if and when the smartwatch is brought to other markets.

The update also brings a new stress monitoring mechanic to the Xiaomi Mi Watch as well as a way for it to light up when you get a notification.

We're not currently certain that Xiaomi will bring the Mi Watch to the US, UK or Australia, but considering the company often introduces its wearables to these markets a few months after their China release, we wouldn't be surprised to get this one too.

Given that the Mi Watch was announced back in November, we're hoping Xiaomi will launch the watch more widely soon, but we won't know for certain until we hear official word directly from Xiaomi.

WILL OPPO FIND X2 SPORT SONY IMX708 WITH 1/1.3-INCH OUTSOLE?

Today, Shen Yiren, Vice President of OPPO, disclosed on Weibo that ‘it will come with an exclusive custom outsole sensor that is large enough to make people impressed’. Undoubtedly, this is definitely the description of the OPPO Find X2.

Actually, before the launch of the OPPO Reno 3 Pro, at the OPPO INNO Day conference, some sources disclosed something like this. Particularly, they said the OPPO Find X2 will be equipped with a sensor customized by Sony. Moreover, they said this CMOS will adopt the first all-pixel omnidirectional focusing technology. As the name suggests, it will greatly improve the focusing performance.

Combined with the news released previously, this custom sensor of OPPO Find X2 may be the Sony IMX708. Although IMX586 has a 48MP resolution, the sensor area will exceed 1/1.7-inch of IMX686, reaching 1/1.3 inches.

However, there is no official confirmation that Sony has developed the IMX708 CMOS. Instead, we know much about the IMX689. The latter will appear not only on an OPPO handset but on Huawei and OnePlus smartphones as well.

Generally, we know many users like to put all flagship and even unannounced features into one favorite smartphone. The OPPO Find X2 is one of them. Previously, it was assumed the phone will sport the company’s under-screen camera technology. But the latter is not mature yet. Moreover, we know it will sport a 120Hz refresh rate screen with a 2K resolution. Of course, under the hood, it will carry a Snapdragon 865 chip paired with an LPDDR5 RAM.

Desain iPhone 12 Mungkin Mengejutkan

Jakarta - Dari beragam kabar yang lalu lalang, iPhone 12 disebut akan mirip dengan iPhone 4, tentunya dengan balutan desain lebih modern. Akan tetapi informasi terbaru menyatakan hal berbeda.

Dikutip dari Independent, iPhone 12 akan cukup menyerupai iPhone 11. Hanya saja bentuknya lebih tinggi dan juga lebih langsing.

Setidaknya itulah klaim yang dikemukakan oleh website asal Jepang, Macotakara. Mereka mengklaim mendapat informasi itu dari rantai suplai. Perbedaan mencolok terletak pada kombinasi kameranya.

Itu kontradiktif dari kabar yang sebelumnya dihembuskan oleh Ming Chi Kuo, analis industri Apple terpercaya. Juga mengklaim sumbernya dari penyuplai komponen, ia menyebut iPhone 12 terindikasi terinspirasi oleh iPhone 4. Jadi patut ditunggu pihak mana yang benar.

Di sisi lain, iPhone 12 diperkirakan akan menjadi seri iPhone pertama yang menggunakan empat kamera belakang. Ming-Chi Kuo mengatakan kamera keempat yang akan menghiasi punggung iPhone 12 adalah kamera Time-of-Flight (ToF).

Kamera ToF ini akan disandingkan dengan kamera wide, ultrawide dan telephoto. Kamera ini sudah digunakan oleh beberapa ponsel flagship lainnya seperti Galaxy Note 10 Plus yang bisa mengukur depth objek dengan lebih akurat.

Adapun notch sepertinya belum akan menghilang dari iPhone 12, tapi ukurannya akan mengecil dengan cukup signifikan. Walau ukurannya menjadi lebih kecil, sensor TrueDepth untuk FaceID tetap akan berfungsi secara normal.
